Young Faith Delegates Report on COP28

Two members of our Diocese, Kara Lyn Moran and Coco de Marneffe, were part of the Presiding Bishop’s delegation to the Conference of Parties (COP28), the United Nations annual Climate Conference, in Dubai this past November. Please join us to hear from them about their frustrations, anxieties and hopes for climate activism, and their sense of the vital role for young activists and people of faith in building a just and sustainable future for all on earth. As we hear scientists report that last year was the hottest ever recorded, the conversation could not be more urgent!

Both Coco and Kara are recent alumni of the Episcopal Service Corps program at Grace Church, Millbrook. Kara is a Master of Environmental Science student at Yale School of the Environment, studying how religious institutions participate in environmental activism. Coco is a grant writer for the garden and food programs at St. Thomas, Amenia and a member of the National Clean Water Collective Youth Council.
