Summer 2024 Grant Cycle

The summer Grant Cycle for applying for funds from Mid-Hudson Board of Managers Funds is here. To apply, please use the form shown below. To the right of the page (or below, on a phone) you will find a spread sheet for the program budget (which should be uploaded via the form once complete), guidelines for applying, and a 6 month review form (for use if your program is a recipient of funds.) If you are submitting, or considering submission of an application, please be mindful of the guidelines for funding. We support applications for program that extend beyond your front doors. Property maintenance and building issues are not eligible unless they directly impact your program. And, we do not have the means to support large asking ($1,000.00 – $2,500.00 being the norm – anything beyond needing special consideration.)

Application Deadline: Monday July 15.

The deadline for applications to be received in the regional office is Monday, July 15.  Applications received after that date will not be eligible. The Board of Managers will consider the applications on Saturday, July 20th or the week thereafter.

2024 Summer BOM Grant Application

Cover Letter and Budget Must Be Uploaded

Please combine into a single file (pdf , MsWord doc or docx, or  zip) prior to upload

A cover letter must be uploaded with this application (using the upload field at the bottom of the form) that will provide the Executive Committee a brief description of your program or project, a clear understanding of what the program is attempting to accomplish, and a description of how it benefits the mission of the Church in the Mid-Hudson Region.  The cover letter should describe how the parish or organization is, or will be, invested in this activity (e.g. time, treasure or talent).    If applicable, it should include information on how the program impacts the community beyond the parish or organization and how it promotes collaboration in the region.

A copy of your project or program budget must accompany this request.  The budget should also reflect how the parish or organization is, or will be, invested in this activity (e.g. time, treasure or talent).  The program budget (not the parish budget) should be attached to the application.  The budget should reflect proposed or already received funds from other funding sources as well as the grant amount requested above.  Any new programs must have an estimated or proposed budget attached.

The Mid-Hudson Region

The diocese’s Mid-Hudson Region covers Orange, Sullivan, Dutchess and Ulster counties, and includes all of the congregations, inter-parish councils and religious institutions in those counties.

Mid-Hudson Board of Managers Grants

Board of Manager (BOM) Grants have been made available to parishes and congregations in the Mid-Hudson Region through benefactors who have designated their use for furthering the mission of the Episcopal Church in the Mid-Hudson Region.   The Executive Committee meets twice a year to review all applications to objectively identify those programs that meet the funding guidelines.  The range for grant allocations is from $1,000 to $5,000 with an average of $2,500.  Grant requests greater than $5,000 will require special consideration from the Executive Committee.   The Executive Committee of the Mid Hudson Region has the authority to designate the use of income from the Board of Managers Funds held by the Diocese for use in the Mid Hudson Region.   For guidelines and applications, click on the links to the right of the page.
