The 250th Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of New York will be held at the Westchester Marriott, on November 13th and 14th, 2026.

The Canons of the Diocese specify that certain actions and procedures must be performed by those involved in Diocesan and Parochial entities. This communication to you of the Notice of Convention satisfies the first of several deadlines are required for the preparation of the Diocesan Convention. The Notice of Convention is sent electronically only; there will be no mailings from the Convention Office. As per canonical due date, which is based on the date of the Annual Convention, the Calendar of Business should be distributed electronically on October 14, 2026.

 

Deadlines

As we prepare for convention, please take note of the following important deadlines. These deadlines are canonical and help ensure a smooth and successful Convention for all participants.

Due by September 14

Due by October 13

Deadline on October 22

We encourage congregations, delegates, exhibitors, and nominees to review these dates carefully and submit all required materials before the applicable deadlines.

Registration

All members of convention (certified lay delegates and eligible clergy) and attendees (lay alternates, exhibitors, guests, and non-canoical clergy) must register for convention and pay the convention fee. The fee for individual attendees is $150 and can be paid during registration. The fee covers production costs, admission to the Exhibits Hall, admission to convention workshops, electronic voting procedures, and meals. The registration deadline for inclusion on the seating chart of convention is October 14th. Late registration, up to the day of convention, will be accepted but is not encouraged.
