You’re invited to join us at the 2026 New York Diocesan Chorister Festival at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine on Saturday, January 31. This festival has always been a wonderful occasion for our young singers to unite in song together – our festival brings together choristers from all over the Northeast.
The January 31, 2026 festival will begin at 9:00 am with Check-in and will conclude with a festive Evensong at 4pm. They day will end around 5:00 pm.
This year we are happy to invite Dr. Claudia Dumschat, a remarkable choral clinician from the Church of the Transfiguration NYC, who will join Bryan Zaros (Associate Director of Music & Choirmaster, Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine) in leading the festival, and offer great leadership to our choristers.
Like previous festivals, this festival will be a daylong event with rehearsals, cathedral tours, workshops, lunch and a festive evensong at 4:00 pm in the Cathedral.
To maximize our time, the repertoire will include some familiar pieces from the previous festivals with the addition of new works
