Assistant/Associate/Chaplain Positions

Parish Chaplain Positions:

In all regions of our diocese there are open parish chaplain positions. A Parish Chaplain may be assigned when a parish is being supported by the Episcopal Diocese under Canon 29 or anytime a parish is unable to complete a search for permanent clergy due to financial restrictions or other issues that prevent the search and call of a Priest-in-Charge or Rector.

During the tenure of the Parish Chaplain the primary leadership of the congregation rests with the vestry and wardens, or other appointed administrative authority. The Parish Chaplain provides pastoral care, consistency in Sunday clergy leadership, and other pastoral services as may be negotiated. The parish chaplain serves no more than 10 hours per week.
