Fauré Requiem

On Sunday, November 7, we’ll be presenting a special service of remembrance at 5pm which will include a performance of Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem for choir and chamber orchestra. During the service we will remember especially those who have died over the course of the pandemic. Fauré composed this famous and lush Requiem in 1887 and revised and expanded it in 1890. It was premiered at the Church of the Madeleine in Paris in 1888, and the expanded version in 1893.
