An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until Mon, November 30, 2020

Need a meal? How about 15? Trinity Church Wall Street’s Compassion Market will be open at St. Paul’s Chapel on Wednesdays from 12-3pm starting September 30. Guests can get 15 healthy, pre-packaged, and shelf-stable meals, enough for five days, as well as personal hygiene kits by making an appointment on the Plentiful App anytime, or by calling the resource phone number, 917-594-6300, Monday-Friday from 2-5pm. If you leave a message outside of those hours, you will receive a call-back within 48 hours. Walk-ins will also be accepted on a first come, first served basis, while supplies last.
Although Lower Manhattan may not seem like a community where people are in need, it is; and the pandemic has further exacerbated economic inequalities. With sharp rises in the unemployment rate, the cost of groceries, and the number of people seeking assistance from food pantries and soup kitchens, food insecurity is at an all-time high in New York City. Trinity remains committed to helping our neighbors in need of food assistance through this and other programs such as Brown Bag Lunch, Compassion Meals, and resource connections.
